Learning is a continuous process of acquiring knowledge. It can be acquired at home, at the environment and at school.
Our home teaches us the right values and the importance of family. The environment teaches us the importance of social interaction. And the school teaches us academically and it also helps us to discover and to enhance our talents and inner abilities. It is an institution that will help us develop our future by practicing a field that we will be choosing.Everyone needs to learn and to explore. But how can this be possible if the majority of the society is incapable of doing so? How can they learn if they are forced to stay and work out at the street? How can they learn if they are sent to jail instead of school? And how can they learn to love and give respect of the people around them and of the environment itself if they had been a victim of discrimination and of neglect? Should we put the blame on the government? Or should we blame ourselves?
I am a second psychology student and as a student of this field, I am able to observe my environment and I am very much affectted with children who are not given a chance to learn properly by all the means that I have mentioned earlier. It hurts me, as young mom, to see those children out of the streets to earn money instead of earning the values of education. They chose to be in the streets to earn and to have a meal to serve at the table. How can they go to school if their stomachs are empty all the time? Instead of paying for the tuition fees, they would rather buy food to feed their aching stomachs. Instead of studying, they would rather choose to work and find means of living. For them, it is a waste of time attending school. The environment on the other hand is full of selfishness, madness and discrimination. The people do not want to help because they have been judgmental of the situation that those children have. A street child who enters a jeep for example, who ask money from the passengers, will hear a lot of hurtful words, words of discrimination. Instead of praying for them,we get mad at them. It is not their fault to be in that situation. If they only have an option, they would not be in that position.
As a student, I am thankful that we have this outreach program to reach out to those children. For now, it is the only thing that I can do. Someday I would like to have a better chance or opportunity to help them especially those children.

Poverty: A Hindrance in Learning by ren_ren
If I Were a Clever Boy by Topsie Krettes
If I were a boy, I would prefer to get in touch with a girl who is simple and yet amazing enough to make other guys drop their jaws whenever she passes by. A girl who has effortless and natural beauty. I would surely like her when she has fine hair; long or short, it does not matter, for as long as it is clean and healthy. The neat and unplucked eyebrows would be better. The eye catching almond-shaped eyes of her would be pretty. I would enjoy to looking and squeezing her cute nose; I would not care whether it is flat or pointed. Her small and thin lips would certainly make me crave for her intensely. I would precisely love to kiss her perfectly shaped forehead. Her flawless complexion would make me undettachable from her. Of course, this girl would absolutely turn me on by her sexy body.
On the other hand, if I were a clever boy, I would prefer a girl who is extraordinary and sophisticated enough to turn guys' heads whenever she starts speaking. A girl who has plain beauty that if appreciated, worthy of full attention. That would not make you wonder why she captivates an unaware sight of a boy. She would probably capture my attention when she removes the excess good scented and healthy hair away to uncover her unpretentious face. A marvelous girl with a nice unplucked eyebrows perfect for her frankness and honest expressions. I would surely love the way she reveals the sincerity of everything she says thru her almond-shaped eyes. I would definitely admire the way she breathes quietly at the corner while she gives other breathless people the air that they need to go on living. I think everybody would get mesmerized by the way her busy lips share thoughts and tactful words, hence, remain a sweet and humble lips. The perfectly shaped forehead would be attractive, in whatever matters, I would be glad to find out what is behind the perfectly shaped skull. Her brain that contains her knowledge, her logical ideas, her humorous perceptions, her emotions, and her skills. Surely, I would simply get stunned to a girl with a fair complexion and yet shows humility and shows no discrimination among everybody else. And of course, I would be more challenged to be with a sexy girl. Sexy, in a sense that she has a good body built, brought about by her healthy lifestyle, by being skillful, and by being sports minded.
If I were a boy, I would be excited to fall in love with a good looking girl. If I were a clever boy, however, I would definitely fall in love with a girl who will teach me the real importance of beauty. Looks could be deceiving, that is why I pity those who get blinded by the outside beauty. I would prefer, for sure, a girl who proves that of all the traits that she has, she could never be outsmarted by anybody else. Therefore, if I were a clever boy, I would love a girl, for certain, after I have known and discovered her deeply to find out the real essence of her being. In that way, I am not simply a boy, but rather a man.

A Wonderful Journey by Jelyn
My Relatives and I have a journey at Zoobic Safari last August. We have a great time having each others company. While we are in the van we are very happy singing songs together. We see the beautiful views in the Subic that makes it too attractive to some tourists. The sea is so blue and water looks very clean.
When we are entering in Zoobic Safari we are so amazed because there are lots of tigers. To begin the journey in Zoobic Safari it is better if you have your own car or any vehicle because if you don’t have your own vehicle you will pay another for a ride in a tiger inspired vehicle which is quiet cute to look for me. The tigers, ostriches, rats, pigs, ducks, sheeps, dogs, birds and my most favorite “ Johnny ” the monkey.
We did lots of things while we are in the Zoobic Safari I really enjoy that day! We feed the tigers some delicious fresh chickens which is I think quiet to expensive in Zoobic Safari than in the usual market. We also have a close encounter with them that makes me fell so happy because I love tigers. At first my cousins are so afraid because of its teeth but when you look in their unique beautiful stripes you will really appreciate it.
After all that things, I realize that what makes me more happy in that journey is that I learn lots of things about animals; in their behavior, benefits as well as their harmful effects. For that wonderful journey I want to thank you for my relatives that makes me more happy because without them I think that journey will not be as happy as that. Of course I really appreciate the effort of our Tourist guide for the effort and for the trivias. And of course above all that for our Lord that makes all things possible. Thank you so much for guiding as all the way in our wonderful journey…

Facing Your Destiny by Sassy Girl
One of the strangest thing in this world is no one knows when and where will be the end of their life. Why can we just interchange those people who wants to end their life to the people who wants to survive? Some people wished to end their life because of different problems and frustration but still some wants to survive.
As time goes by, we cannot alter the reality, that is forcing us to believe in the saying "If it's your time you cannot changed the fact that you will be now a part of God's Kingdom" How ridiculous isn't it? But indeed we cannot resist or block our final destiny. And when sometimes I think about final destiny it evokes me a lot about dying, that makes me feel so curious with a slight feeling of fear and possibility. Like, how to live their? Can we possibly feel the seclusion of our body to our spirit? Can we become one of the angels of God? Can we be happy and ready to leave our loved ones?
Where's the way to the Kingdom of God? Is it like you are walking on the midst of the night, within the long road and in the end you will see light that will give you the right direction? Or does it make us feel more at peace? Because having peace of mind is the greatest asset we can have for a happy living. That this might serve as an inner victory which comes only when we are united to God. These boggling questions that reminisce on my mind whenever I see burials.
And because of this circumstances, many of us wish and hope that we can interchanged our destiny. That only if we have a time machine to know what would happen to the present, past and future life, only if we can be a superhero, either wonderwoman or superman so that we have the power to help others, only if we are one of the princesses or prince in a fairytale story, that always have a happy ending. Like what they said it is free to dream and aim big. But maybe we should first appreciate the totality of one's individual and the small things in our life. Like a one peso coin, we cannot have millions of money if we do not have one peso. And we must know that, we ourselves make our own destiny, that God is just the ultimate editor that correct us when we were wrong. Trying to be contented on what we have is another important thing in our life. No one is perfect except God, that we are not just suffering the same situation of problems and embarassment. Maybe there are, but because they know how to control their feelings, so still they can survived. Because every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not and often times we call a man cold when he is really only sad.
Though, life is always the counterpart of problems we just learn to keep our faith. Because when I feel so helpless I just remember that every challenges is like a spices in our food, they taste so awful but they are the one leaving a delicious sensation in our appetite, like in our life problem leaves an incredible story that we just need to open up and widen our mind to visualize it. Because I assure you if this problems are gone, you will not gain knowledge or important lessons in your life and you will always find and reminisce it. Eventhough our destiny is an awful one, learned to dig and find with enthusiasm the bright side of our life and that's the only way we will find the climax of our own true destiny.
